Reflections about the course
Materials Design is an optional subject at Lenguas Vivas. Hence, I must admit that I chose this subject at random and was not really convinced about my choice. Yet, now that I am about to finish the course I am glad I chose it because I realize how important it is for teachers to reflect upon their own resources. I had enrolled in this subject last year but I dropped out right away so I was only able to read theory and carry out a unit of analysis. I think that having to read theory on the first class is a real turn off for students. Perhaps, it would be necessary to start with something else to keep students motivated from the beginning. I think the first part of the course is tough in that you have to get used to working in the Edmodo platform.
This year I could enjoy this subject a lot more because I was attending methodology and delivering my practice lessons at the same time. Thus, I think it was really profitable for me. Although my practice lessons were over long before the end of the term, I can now look back and see in which ways I could improve the materials I prepared.
This subject has pushed me to my limits in that I am not a techy person. I learnt a lot not only from teaching but also about online tools. For those students or teachers reading this online porfolio, I think it is important to understand that the ultimate goal of this course is not only creating materials but also evaluating the resources you have at hand to improve them by creating or adapting when necessary.
All in all, I would say I'm happy that I could create my own e-portfolio. This is a nice way of sharing work with other student-teachers and teachers of english. "Weebly" is my favourite tool from the whole course because I will be able to assess my students' work in a differnt way. Furthermore, it will be really useful for my career development. I will now have the opportunity of showing my e-portfolio to prospective employers and increase the chances of getting the jobs I want.

Time to say goodbye!
I hope you have found my portfolio useful for your own teaching. I see the design of this portfolio as a contribution to other (student) teachers who may be interested in going a little bit more techy. I'm sure that since now you know more about online tools and adapting materials, you can enhance whatever materials you bring to your students. In this way you will be contributing to make that little but extraordinary difference in your students' process learning. The very best of lucks!
